Get Ready for the 2012 Step UP for Down Syndrome Walk!!

Ds Connections Nw is proud to announce our fourth annual Step UP for Down Syndrome Walk!

It is our pleasure to announce that this year’s Inland Northwest Step UP for Down Syndrome Walk will be held in conjunction with Valleyfest at Discovery Park in Spokane Valley on September 22, 2012.  This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever with a larger facility, better parking and more fun and excitement than we’ve ever had before.

Nearly 500 walkers participated in our 2011 event, not counting the families and friends that turned out to cheer them on and over $13,000 was raised!  Thanks to contributions like yours, within the past year, DsCNw has been able to offer informational seminars on such diverse topics as “Positive Behavioral Supports”, “Estate Planning for People with Disabilities and Their Families ” and “I.E.P. Support: What are Your Rights”.   We have played host to social opportunities like our annual Christmas parties, talent showcases and of course the Step UP Walk.

Mark your calendars!  Get on your walking shoes, and put on your helping hands.  We'll need more help than ever to make this years Step UP for Down Syndrome Walk a gigantic success!
